Industrial heat pumps
Heat industrial buildings using air, earth and sun! Industrial air-to-water heat pumps are an exceptional way of simply heating industrial halls and production areas using ambient temperatures and waste heat generated during production. Only a small amount of electricity is required to operate them. Therefore you will save money on heating and in addition, you will have environmentally friendly heat. Another undeniable advantage is the relatively fast and cost-effective installation.
Basic principle and operation of air-to-water heat pumps
The heat pump's heat is obtained from the air from the environment where the pump is located. The heat pump does not burn anything and therefore does not require a high amount of energy that is otherwise consumed during the combustion process. In addition, waste heat which is generated during production and which would otherwise not be used in any way can also be used. The heat pumps we supply operate on the ground-to-water, water-to-water or air-to-water principle. Therefore these pumps use the heat from the ground, water and air to heat the water which is further used for space heating. They can also be easily used for cooling, with the water removing heat from the building.
A new building is not a precondition for installing an industrial heat pump. Existing buildings can be equipped with a pump during a renovation to create a bivalent system in which both heating systems can cooperate at a lower cost than the use of the original heating system alone.
Features
- Significantly cheaper than other heating methods (only a fraction of electricity is required to operate the heat pump).
- Low CO2 emissions due to the absence of combustion and other chemical and physical processes that may cause them.
- Ability to heat and cool in one device.
- Use of heat that is free and that would otherwise be unused (e.g. ambient heat or residual heat from production).
- Environmentally friendly heating method.
- Possible to combine with conventional heating systems with bivalent connection.

Harnessing the benefits of heat pumps in industry
Industrial heat pumps can be used in any industry where heating or cooling is required. They are suitable for both the food and chemical industries or any other production sector. Similarly, industrial heat pumps are often installed in commercial and recreational buildings where conventional heating methods would be too expensive (e.g. shopping centres, ice arenas and swimming pools).
- The cheapest way to heat and cool large halls.
- Low investment costs compared to gas boilers and cooling units.
- Customised solutions.
- Eco-friendly use of natural and waste heat sources.
- High temperature up to 90°C using a heat pump.
- Possibility of receiving a state subsidy under the New Green Savings Programme.
Ground-to-water and water-to-water heat pumps outputs 21-283 kW
These heat pumps use the heat stored in the ground and water for their operation. Heat is obtained from the ground using ground collectors and boreholes and is also suitable for cold areas. Getting heat from water is possible from both surface water and groundwater.
